About Pete Broussard

I am Pete Broussard, licensed massage therapist. I am a Christian and a dedicated father of three young men. I enjoy working out, running and playing music. My purpose for doing massage is to give you relief from whatever is ailing you. I have always wanted to help people. I was pursuing a nursing degree to do that pre-Katrina. Post-Katrina led me in a new and wonderful direction.

I began working at a chiropractic office in Slidell, where I was introduced to massage therapy. One by one patients told me how great my work made them feel. I knew then that I had found a way to most directly help people. I went to massage school at night, while still working as a chiropractic assistant. After going to school for a year and working at the chiropractic office for three years, I was able to really develop and refine my techniques. Then I began working at Massage Envy in Old Metairie doing full body table massage and Whole Foods Market doing chair massage. Additionally, I maintained an outcall and corporate chair massage business as well as three private massage offices. My ultimate goal was to open my own massage business in one location. That is now a reality, in the very relaxing and tranquil environment of my Metairie office. I invite you to come and experience how the skills I have developed can make you feel the best you’ve ever felt.

Massage Benefits

  • Stress Relief - Massage is known to alleviate anxiety and improve relaxation, reducing bad temper and jangled nerves.
  • Anxiety and Depression Management - Massage greatly reduces levels of the stress hormone cortisol, resulting in lifted spirits and often lower blood pressure; it can also boost the neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine, further improving outlook and mood.
  • Pain Reduction and Management - Eight out of ten Americans will experience debilitating back pain in their life, and studies have shown that massage helped people in pain feel and function better compared to those who didn't receive any massage treatment. Massage works better than acupuncture or spinal modification for persistent back pain and it lowers the need for painkillers by 36%.
  • Osteoarthritis Treatment - Massage decreases pain and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis, and it helps to provide better function and range of motion in osteoarthritis sufferers.
  • Immunity Improvement - Massage leads to a more functional immune system by increasing disease-fighting white blood cells.
  • Cancer Treatment - Massage relieves pain in cancer patients by fighting fatigue, pain, anxiety, depression and nausea.
  • Sleep Improvement - Massage has been proven to positively affects delta waves, which are connected to deep and satisfying sleep.
  • PMS Management - Massage reduces common PMS symptoms like bloating and mood swings.
  • Headache Relief - Massage reduces the number of migraines that occur, and limits the pain of migraines and tension headaches.
  • Aesthetic Benefits - Massage increases blood flow, which pumps up slack skin and encourages lymphatic drainage (an act that moves toxins away from cells so that more nutrients can travel in), adding vitality to a dull complexion and lackluster hair.
